Summer Camp Positions

  • Camp Counsellor

    Camp Counsellors will be managing and supervising a group of campers (ages could be between 5 and 13) throughout the day. Together with the Supervisor, they will operate the program throughout the week while adhering to safety protocols.

      Duties and responsibilities include:

      Supervision: Supervise a group of campers between 5-13 years old; always be available to help and guide campers/volunteers follow the camp program, activities, ensuring a fun, safe atmosphere for all campers and staff; and set a good example for (and help manage) volunteers.

      Communication: Communicate with campers’ parents, providing daily feedback.

      Planning & Engagement: Plan and implement the daily programming of skill development, games, and other activities to your group; participate in planning special events/activities for the group or whole camp as part of the staff team including meetings; share lunch time with group, ensures campers enjoy their meal and contribute to cleanup; build and foster relationships with campers in your group and be aware of individual needs and health concerns.

      Health & Safety: adhering to and enforcing all camp safety plans and return camp operating guidelines; enforcing all COVID-19 (or other infectious diseases) measures where required; and enter and supervise campers in the swimming pool during the afternoon.

      Set a good example for campers, staff & volunteers by being conscientious and supportive of policies.

  • Camp Supervisor

    There will be 1 Supervisor at each camp location.  The Supervisor will oversee all camp operations at that location including managing a small team of Camp Counsellors, CITs (Counsellors-in-Training) and volunteers.  The Supervisor will likely also be in charge of managing and supervising a group of campers throughout the day.

      Duties and responsibilities include:

      Pre-Camp walk through: Prior to the start of camp, supervisor will complete a walk-through of camp location(s) to have a thorough understanding of pick-up/drop-off areas, field and indoor locations, and set up requirements. Walk through to take approximately 45-60 minutes.

      Management of camp location: Manage a team of Counsellors, CITs, LITs and volunteers; oversee the operation; ensure staff/volunteers follow the camp program, activities, ensuring a fun, safe atmosphere for all campers and staff; manage and record all onsite product orders; handle administrative work required from head office; manage and troubleshoot all issues and situations that arise onsite.

      Communication: Communicate with head office regularly, provide evaluations for each of your staff and recommendations for improvements, provide daily feedback to parents, and take & email camp photos to head office.

      Organization:  Must organize and maintain equipment, supplies and camp products in an orderly fashion;

      Inventory management: Store, maintain, transport to and from camp and return equipment, products, supplies and all inventory at end of season to head office.  Remote locations must reuse boxes provided during pre-season shipping for the post-season return of inventory and the shipping instructions provided near the end of the season.

  • Volunteers

    Volunteers carry an important part of our camp success. Volunteers are treated like staff and are expected to maintain a good work ethic by assisting all staff and providing a fun and safe learning atmosphere for campers. Volunteers should be energetic, enthusiastic, responsible and a team player.  Volunteers can choose to volunteer for 1 or more weeks during the mornings or full day sessions.

      Please note that to be eligible to volunteer with us, you must be at least 14 years old by the start of your week of camp. If you are 18 or older you must provide a police record check for the vulnerable sector.

      Duties and expectations include:

      • Assisting camp staff with coaching and teaching soccer to campers
      • Assist with equipment collection and maintenance (ie. inflating soccer balls, collecting cones)
      • Assist with supervising campers throughout the day
      • Help setup games and activities for campers
      • Maintain a clean camp environment; pick up all garbage
      • Helping to ensuring a safe environment for everyone and adhering to all safety protocols
      • Communicate any issues with camp staff and Supervisor
      • If applicable, help with changeroom and leisure swim supervision
      • General assistance around camp
      • Adhere to and help enforce all camp policies and procedures
