We want our campers to have an amazing experience at soccer camp. In addition to the fantastic programming that we’ve developed, there are so many other elements to enjoy during their week with us!
Every camper receives their very own ‘Royal’ soccer ball and at the end of the week, a camp medal. We believe it is important that every child receives these unique items.
Campers who attend 5 or more weeks of camp receive a second soccer ball (distributed during their fifth week of participation).
As you may have already heard, we have amazing staff at camp. During the morning soccer focus, our staff teach and supervise their groups in excellent ratios, averaging approximately 1 staff to 10 campers (or less). The younger campers typically receive a lower ratio during the morning sessions soccer.
If your camper is participating in the afternoon swim, these ratios are much lower as we are required to meet or exceed the local pool’s regulations for supervision ratios. In most pools, swim tests are conducted by local pool lifeguards.
If your camper does not pass the swim test, their swim may be subject to pool restrictions including limited time in the pool (due to rotating swimmers).
Our Royal City Soccer Club staff understand that teaching and supervision is inclusive and engaging – all week long. Campers will typically receive up to 15 hours of soccer activities and games each week whether they are participating in the full day or morning sessions.
These activities may include individual skill development, warm up activities, team building games and mini-Royal Cup tournaments. Campers participating in the full day sessions can take part in an afternoon recreational swim throughout the week.
Please note that swim participation is subject to meeting pool ratios, passing swim tests, pool availability and other factors.
Our morning and full day sessions allow for parent/guardian-friendly fully supervised drop off and pick up. For morning sessions, campers can be dropped off between 8:30 – 9am and picked up from 12 – 12:30pm at no additional cost. For full day sessions, campers can be dropped off anytime between 8:30 – 9am and picked up from 4 – 4:30pm at no additional cost.
Extended drop off and pick up times are available for all participants for an additional fee.
