We want our campers to have an amazing experience at camp. In addition to the fantastic programming that we’ve developed, there are so many things our campers receive in a week of camp!

Camp soccer ball, t-shirt and medal

Every camper receives their very own ‘Royal’ soccer ball, camp t-shirt and, at the end of the week, a camp medal. We believe it is important that every child receives these unique items. While campers don’t need to wear their camp t-shirt to camp every day, it is recommended to bring the soccer ball each day. Some campers even like to personalize their t-shirts and soccer balls by getting their friends and staff to sign them. Campers will only receive a second ball and t-shirt if they attend 5 or more weeks of camp.  Their second ball and shirt will be distributed during their fifth week of participation.

Excellent supervision ratios

As you may have read or already experienced, we have amazing staff at camp. During the morning soccer focus, our staff teach and supervise their groups in excellent ratios, averaging approximately 1 staff to 10 campers (or less). The younger campers typically receive a lower ratio during the morning sessions soccer. If your camper is participating in the afternoon swim, these ratios are much lower as we are required to meet or exceed the local pool’s regulations for supervision ratios.  In most pools, swim tests are conducted by local pool lifeguards.  If your camper does not pass the swim test, their swim may be subject to pool restrictions including limited swim time due to rotating swim in the pool.

Engaging & Inclusive Instruction

It is very important to our staff that teaching and supervision is inclusive and engaging all week long. Campers will typically receive approximately 15 hours of soccer activities each week whether they are in the full day or morning sessions. These activities may take the form of individual skill development, warm up activities, team building games and mini-Royal Cup tournaments. Campers participating in the full day sessions can take part in an afternoon recreational swim throughout the week, however, swim participation is subject to meeting pool ratios, passing swim tests, pool availability and other factors.
